Unforgettable melodies, tight harmonies, red-hot musicianship, and a fast-paced show are trademarks of Cody Bryant and the Riders of the Purple Sage. Under the leadership of Foy Willing in the 1940’s and Cody Bryant today, they still go their own musical way with a sound that is uniquely their own. With deep roots in many American folk styles, they blend elements of the classic sound of Roy Rogers and the Sons of the Pioneers with bluegrass, Cajun, and Bob Wills-style western swing into their own musical vision. They are as comfortable at a cowboy gathering as they are in the concert hall. The Riders have recently created arrangements for full orchestra and have performed with numerous symphonies in the Southwest. Multi-talented musicians, the Riders’ show features vocals, fiddles, banjo, mandolins, guitars, harmonicas, bass and drums. Saddle up and enjoy the ride! The Landscape Department has changed
its watering schedule to days. Turf is watered Tuesday. The drip runs on
Wednesday.
Color beds are watered Monday, Wednesday and Friday in the early morning. As usual, watch for water coming on in the park. Please
be careful of ice and also please report any ice you may see as soon as you can. Report any problems as soon as you can to the main office (966-1401) or to
Landscaping (363-7655).
